Frank von Hippel and Johan Swahn discuss the International Panel on Fissile Materials' (IPFM) new report entitled, "Managing Spent Fuel from Nuclear Power Reactors: Experience and Lessons from Around the World."

The new report discusses the policy and technical challenges faced by efforts at long-term storage and disposal of spent fuel from nuclear power reactors and looks at spent fuel practices of ten countries that have 80 percent of the world's nuclear power capability.
