The Annual Kuwait Chair Lecture is the Middle East Policy Forum's most significant annual event. In addition to University students, faculty, and staff, the MEPF draws an audience from those in the Washington policy community and Amb. Gnehm's friends and family. This year's lecture topic is as follows: 2014 seems a long way from 2011 and the popular uprisings that toppled governments. What happened to the aspirations and expectations of those heady days? Amb. Gnehm looks at three countries; Tunisia, Egypt and Iraq; the factors behind the course of events and their ongoing efforts to find a way forward.
